Wood floor installation · Treasure Coast, FL
Wood floor installation on the Treasure Coast, FL, flat and quiet underfoot.
A wood floor is only as good as the slab under it. We test it for moisture, level the low spots and plan where the planks run before one goes down, then finish every doorway and tile edge clean.
- Engineered hardwood
- Whole-house runs
- Moisture-tested slabs
- Wood-to-tile transitions
- Travertine
- Graphite porcelain
- Marble-look porcelain
- Onyx-look
- Herringbone wood-look
- Granite & quartz

Under the floor
Most of the job is the part you never see.
Florida homes sit on concrete, and concrete holds moisture. The slab gets tested, the dips get leveled and the right barrier goes down, so the planks stay flat through August instead of cupping by fall.
- Moisture test before anything is ordered
- Low spots ground or filled flat
- Barrier and underlayment matched to the floor

Layout
The planks run where the room leads your eye.
Which way the boards run changes how big a room feels. We lay out from the front door and the longest sightline, stagger the joints so no pattern repeats, and keep short offcuts out of the middle of the floor.
- Direction set from the main sightline
- Random stagger, no repeating joints
- Full planks at the doorways that get seen

Edges & transitions
Wood meets tile without a ramp.
Most homes here have tile in the baths and wood everywhere else. Because tile is what we do every day, the line where the two meet gets planned for height, so it's flush where it can be and finished clean where it can't.
- Heights planned against the tile
- Expansion gaps hidden under trim
- Baseboards and thresholds finished to match

Walkthrough
We walk it with you, grout line by grout line, before we call it done.
Can wood floors go on a concrete slab?
Yes. Engineered hardwood is built for it: a real wood top layer on a stable core that handles humidity far better than solid boards. The slab gets a moisture test and a barrier first.
Wood or wood-look tile?
Real wood feels warmer and quieter underfoot, and many engineered floors can be refinished. Wood-look porcelain shrugs off water, so it's the call for bathrooms, laundry rooms and homes with big dogs. We install both and will tell you which fits each room.
Do you remove the old floor?
Tell us what's down now. Removing the old floor and prepping the slab get scoped at the estimate and written into the price, so you see the whole job up front.
Can I live in the house during the install?
Usually. Whole-house floors go in by sections, with furniture moved room by room, so part of the home stays usable.
