Walk-in showers · Treasure Coast, FL
Custom walk-in showers on the Treasure Coast, FL, waterproofed first.
A walk-in shower lives or dies behind the tile. The pan, the slope and the waterproofing decide whether it lasts, so that's where the time goes. Then comes the part you see: real tile and stone, the bench, the niche, the drain and the glass.
- Wet rooms
- Benches & lit niches
- Linear drains
- Frameless glass
- Travertine
- Graphite porcelain
- Marble-look porcelain
- Onyx-look
- Herringbone wood-look
- Granite & quartz

Behind the tile
The part you never see decides how long it lasts.
Every shower gets a sloped pan to the drain and a continuous waterproof membrane on the floor and walls before any tile goes up. Corners, niches and the bench get extra attention, because that's where water finds a way in.
Done right, the tile is the finish. The membrane behind it is what keeps water out of your walls.
- Sloped pan to the drain
- Waterproof membrane on floor and walls
- Niches and benches sealed into the system

Real tile, not a liner
Built in the room, not dropped into it.
One-day installs slide an acrylic liner over what's already there. A tiled shower is built from the pan up, sized to your room, in the stone or porcelain you picked, with the bench and niches exactly where you want them.
- Any size, any shape
- Real porcelain and stone
- Mitered corners and edges

Wet rooms & details
Benches, niches, light and brass.
A niche long enough for every bottle, lit from inside. A floating bench. A linear drain along the wall so the floor can be one big tile. Brass or matte black fixtures picked with the tile, not after it.
- Lit niches
- Floating benches
- Linear drains
- Frameless and framed glass

Shower floors · Floors
- Good for
- Shower floors. Small tiles follow the slope to the drain, and all that grout adds grip underfoot.
- Watch out for
- More grout means more cleaning. A stain-resistant grout is worth it on a dark floor.

Curbless or a low curb?
Curbless needs the floor recessed so the shower can slope to the drain, and that isn't possible on every slab or in every condo. A low curb works everywhere and is still an easy step.
What's a linear drain, and do I need one?
A long, narrow drain along one edge of the shower instead of a round one in the middle. The floor slopes one way, so it can be large tile instead of mosaic. It's a design choice, not a must.
Why tile instead of an acrylic shower?
Acrylic liners are fast and come in a handful of sizes and patterns. Tile is built to your room, in any material, with benches and niches where you want them, and it matches the rest of the house.
Will the glass be frameless?
It can be. Frameless, framed and fixed panels all work, and the choice gets made with the tile so the hardware matches the fixtures.
